NEVER BARTER YOUR AMMO.

While on convoy ops in Iraq, if we expended ammo, no problem: First Sgt would be along with the LOGPAC, and we’d reload or cross-level.

But this is SHTF. There will be no First Sgt, and no LOGPAC. What you’ve got is all you’ve got.

If you trade your ammo, you’ve just given your trade partner a telegram: he’s got good stash to trade, what ELSE does he got?

And at 3am, he’ll be back, with a dozen of his boyfriends, storming your house and shopping, laughing at you while you bleed out on the floor.

The bullet you trade in the morning will be shot back at you in the night. Do not arm the zombies - share your ammo only at ballistic speeds.

NEVER BARTER YOUR AMMO.

Dave Ramsey had someone on his show ask about the book “Harbinger” and his wife wanting to sell all the investments and buy gold, and worrying the world would end.
He ranted that if you truly think the world is going to end, you buy a generator and fuel for it, and food for your family, not gold.

If there is truly a “war on cash”, we’ll see increased use of pesos.

And what if, via Executive Order, Obama declares all gold ownership, sale, or transfer to be illegal, just as FDR did in 1933?

Beware the silent man. Slow to anger, slow to react, but when it happens, when that anger boils, and when the reaction comes, all hell will break loose. If you take everything from him, he has nothing left to lose.

Canned spam too! It can really jazz up a rice meal.

Tried some off-brand version of a Spam-like called Treat. Boy howdy, it was anything but, but it was on sale, and it's good enough for when your belly's empty.

In capitalist societies, the bread waits for people.

I just stocked the freezer with a dozen loaves of 50 cent packages of Italian deli loaves and rolls. Can't make a loaf at home for that price. I'm guessing the Pope would frown upon it.

““Due to the shortage of food … the desperation is enormous,” local opposition politician Andres Camejo said”

Hence the regime will create shortages in order to get more control over the sheeple.

“(Obama probably wetting his pants with excitement about this one, “Oh, if only I could run for a 3rd term. I know I could pull this off right here.”)”

If he can cause civil unrest, then declare martial law, he can then suspend the Constitution and become dictator. It worked for Hitler.

“A cup of rice is 4 grams protein, a cup of pinto beans provides over 15 grams of protein.”

Beans and rice contain different types of proteins, and together form a complementary protein.

I stole this:

“Protein complementation is combining plant protein sources to achieve a better amino acid balance than either would have alone. Because of differences in amino acid make-up, when plant sources are combined, the strengths of one make up for the deficiencies in another. For example, many grains are notoriously low in lysine, but beans are high in lysine. On the other hand, beans are low in the sulfur-containing amino acids, while grains like wheat contain much of these. Thus, by eating beans and grains “together,” the strengths of one make up for the deficiencies of the other, making a source of complete protein.”
