Proven substance or botched theory? We’ve already tried the latter
Pundits have tripped all over themselves trying to explain the “Trump Phenomenon,” describing it as everything from a fluke to a cult. Most are just pulling their hair (not in an effort to recreate the Donald’s coif) at being trumped by Trump and his wild popularity.
Strangely enough, it was just a short eight years ago that upstart Barack Obama was causing consternation amongst the Hillary camp and the GOP. There were those of us who recognized the “charisma” blitzkrieg for what it was… not charisma at all, but unfettered media hype and truckloads of sanitized manure.
The two men share only one thing, a meteoric rise in polling numbers. From that point on there is no comparison.
No comparison? Vague red meat proposals, history of leftwing behavior and support ignored, and followers that support him beyond reason are just a few of the commonalities.
Obama and Trump both like gun control. They both like Kelo and eminent domain takings. They both think they’re better than you.
