Much controversy erupted post-debate following Donald Trumps refusal to pledge he would not mount a third party campaign for the presidency. I hope he never does, heres why.
Trump didnt explain during the 30 to 60 seconds he was afforded for explanation; then again, who could? The answer why is far more serious than a half-minute soundbite would allow. However, using one specific example allow me to point out the obvious.
Weve taken a lot of criticism for pointing out the lack of difference between Republicans and Democrats, so take the time to just consider this simple real life question.

I’ve done real estate for a number of years, and commercial ventures. RULE Numbe One is always have Walk Away Power.
Only wusses like Obama, Boehner and McConnell give that up. Truly Negotiating 101.
First they say “third party” and then allude to the fact that there isn’t even a second party. What use is it to work within a one-party system either way?
Should the nominees end up as Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton, in essence, the voters are left with only one choice: a big spending liberal.
No worries. Trump is the best deal maker on planet earth. He always leaves a caveat “if treated fairly”.
Jeb is shrinking. Walker is shrinking. Nominee will be either Trump, Cruz or Carson.
JUST A HEADS UP TO EVERYONE: Mark Levin will have Trump on his radio program tonight.

No, Trump should not pledge to never run an independent campaign.
That would be very similar to Mitch McConnell pledging to never shut down the government.
Pretty much leaves you a powerless idiot.
And I am not pledging to support the GOP nominee. I have no loyalty to the GOP. If the GOP nominates some GOPE jackass, then to Hell with them.
No deal unless they agree to support him!! Step up bush!!You first.
There is ONE MAJOR good reason to never say it... because the elites WANT HIM TO.
At this point if he so pledged it would be the same as apologizing for something or explaining something to make it sound better. He will then begin to decline pretty rapidly. Also it is putting your negotiating tactics and points on the table before the conference starts.
He asks Republicans to pledge support for him.
For the next five months expect one effort after another by the establishment and their handmaidens the MSM to take Trump out. He needs to keep any leverage he has.
I am afraid the other candidates will not be able to deal with the established Ruling Class in the Congress, the Academy and MSM and will fail as a dictator which means we go straight into Stalinist Democrat mode.
Perhaps the strongest argument for Trump is that he raised his hand that he could not make that pledge; that he could not put the Party before America.
Now, let me clarify this. I am still not ready to commit to any candidate--it is still so very early, with respect to Primaries that will not happen for many months; and I like Ted Cruz, as well as Trump; and there are a couple of others, that it is too early to rule out. But the "Donald" made an immense point by refusing to be intimidated by the pledge seekers last week.
