I agree. Cruz has, by far, the most consistent, Conservative record. He also is known for fighting the DC establishment, especially the RINOs.

In additional, he is a great communicator who knows how to use rhetoric, has a tremendous knowledge of the issues and is an expert at avoiding gotcha questions and turning them around on those trying to trap him.

He is the both the most conservative and electable candidate IMO.

... and we are at a point in history where we need a wrecking ball, more than anything else. The DC cartel has made a playing field so unlevel that a conservative can accomplish little, without a wrecking ball leading the way. As a result, for conservatism to flourish, we need someone like Trump out in front. If this "embarrasses" the original poster, so be it. We can either assuage his delicate sensibilities (at the cost of any conservative potential for this country), or we can ignore the effect the unwashed are having on his vast intellect (and we can destroy, at least for a time, the assembly of forces standing in the way of conservatism).

I think most people are supporting Trump right now because of the issues he's raising. The more they rail against him, particularly the Republican establishment, and don't embrace these issues or even acknowledge them but instead continue to bash him, his support increases. He's actually getting stronger. Republicans need to clean house and maybe the people are beginning to think he could be the one with the cajones to do it.

Actually if the Republican candidates had him as a campaign adviser instead of the advisers they've been listening to, we would have beaten 0bama. Let's stop bashing him and start taking his ideas seriously.
