It is starting to unravel a bit. The tame JP has recused himself, and the appellate court threw out the gag order.

If the DA is smart, he’ll get on the right side of history and leave the corrupt law enforcement swinging in the breeze, but he may be too far into the coverup at this point.

DA managed this from the get go. And he made it up as he went along.

At first, they let Swanton hold forth, until the Chief took over - who promised regular updates. After about a week, they decided regular update was a bad idea.

Broden claims that the DA told Pete what date to set the Examining Trials. DA decided that slow walk was his best play, obviously hoping the thing would disappear.

If the Da was smart, he would not have gotten involved in the first place. From what I have read, he was one of the instigators, not an innocent bystander.
