parents get to choose their son’s Scout troop

If they don’t like a certain Scoutmaster for whatever reason, they don’t have to join that troop

If they wont let their boys go camping without them then they can join and attend. Many Dads- and Moms- do

Unlike the doom predictors, I believe parents can have a lot influence with controlling who has access to their sons

Now school teachers and sports coaches- maybe not so much
Parental vigilance is key
Awareness has been greatly heightened, lets use it

Home school your kids.

And avoid the Boy Scouts. An organization that openly welcomes a population that is known to be predatory need not be supported.

Yes, parents choose their son’s troop, but there is much more to Scouting than the local troop. Scouts are around many other Scoutmasters at camporees, summer camp, Order of the Arrow activities, at Philmont, etc.

Do not support them in anyway. I do not care if the parent can be involved, do not support it. If you go along with it in any way you support it.
