IIRC, none of the Crusades was victorious for the Crusaders. Charles Martel was Charlemagne’s grandfather.

The First Crusade proclaimed by Pope Urban II ended in victory with the capture of Jerusalem in 1099 A.D.

Christians held on to the city for 250 years. Then Saladin came along & it was downhill after that.
