“Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson testified on Capitol Hill [on July 14th] about a series of ongoing immigration, illegal immigration and security issues. When asked about whether the Obama administration had reached out to the family of Kate Steinle, the 32-year-old woman who was killed in San Francisco two weeks ago by an illegal alien who had been deported five times, Johnson had no idea who she was.
‘Has the administration reached out to the Steinle family, to your knowledge?’ Rep. Steve Chabot asked Johnson.
‘To who?’ Johnson replied.
The answer is no, not a single person in the Obama administration has reached out to the Steinle family and it’s a disgrace. Jeh Johnson and President Obama should watch a few interviews of Steinle’s family talking about Kate’s death and show some respect.
‘I wish someone would reach out to us,’ Brad Steinle said during an interview on The Kelly File last night.
When the White House was asked last week to comment on the Kate Steinle case, Press Secretary Josh Earnest said comment on ‘this specific case’ could not be issued and that reporters should refer to DHS for information. My Opinion: Did anyone expect anything different from the Obama Regime, or from the Democrat Party/far left, for that matter? So great is the national outrage, so public the increasing heat on the City of San Francisco where the murder took place that legislation was introduced to drop the Sanctuary City status of Nancy Pelosi’s home town! This story was out about a week ago. My guess is ‘Jeh’ knew exactly who Kate was, but chose to show his contempt by not allowing any thought of her to push into his conciousness.

Exactly how I read it. It was one big middle finger. Everything political regarding illegals and guns is surely brought to his attention.
But it's the typical "didn't know about it until I read it in the newspapers" BS that Clinton and Obama do routinely.
Sort of like when Michael Savage pretends to have forgotten the name of someone he doesn’t like on that day.

However, the power-mad Leftists who control our federal government at the moment - and, quite obviously, the same sort that control the government of San Francisco - simply don't give a damn. To them, you are insignificant because you are not part of any victim group that can help them increase their power. Simply put, you're just White folks. Their political agenda has no room for actual human decency, nor for making tough decisions for the benefit of those who live in this country (of whatever color, religion or national origin) according to its laws and culture. You are, very sadly and regrettably, just collateral damage in the Left's war on the United States, on our liberties and on our way of life. I am ashamed that things have come to this sad state of affairs in my nation, and without any doubt many tens of millions of our fellow citizens feel the same way.
I hope that you can all derive comfort from the support and sympathy that millions have shown and feel for you, and also from the life that your daughter led until it was taken away from her and you.
