I have had wonderful Mexican food in Tucson, Albuquerque, and in a small town in Texas. But let me tell you, the Mexican food in Alabama is gross. We have tried a lot of Mexican in Alabama and are always hopeful that we will find something remotely good. So far, no such luck. We found decent Mexican in Virginia. Maybe we were deluding ourselves though. Hah.

You need to find a place where no one speaks English (Spanish, of course - I would avoid a Mexican restaurant where they all speak Chinese: which I have seen in L.A.).

OTOH, I have had Chinese food in Mexico and it was ghastly. I was spoiled in Monterey Park, CA — the best Dim Sum anywhere.

Best Mexican food I ever had was 300 miles south of the border. The Canadian border.

Billings, MT.

I found a pretty decent place for Mexican in Vicksburg of all places.

The only thing missing was pralines at the cash register.
