The problem with that reasoning is that the people who are losing their assets are those who were responsible and did save. They're losing that because of a government that borrowed money it couldn't pay back and used it to fund programs that aren't sensible. Sound familiar?
Seems to me the people who should be losing everything are the bankers.
There should be no shock or surprise when a desperate socialist government does all it can to confiscate the private wealth of its citizens regardless of their status or prior adherence to the law.
