The endpoint of chronically consuming more than you produce as a nation is bankruptcy and miserable poverty. It is not a pretty sight. Oh by the way there will be a price Americans will pay for an $18 trillion Federal debt, printing of trillions more, $10 trillion in state and local debts, $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities. If one has precious metals I can think of a lot better place to keep them than a bank.

After reading this, I am tempted to get a safety deposit box, buy 2-3 ingots of lead, and spray paint them gold, and them make a big show out of deposting them in my local bank safety deposit box..

Then Place along side the "gold ingots" in the safety deposit box a Picture of me flipping the bird to camera with a note attached to picture that says "screw you feds".....
