Would Trump get more votes than Jeb in a 3-candidate race against Clinton unlike 1992?

If Jeb and Trump are both general election candidates I think it would end up like the 2010 Colorado Gubernatorial rather than the 1992 Presidential.
I think Trump would get twice as many votes as Jeb.
Tancredo almost made the Colorado GOP a third party.

The only reason Slick Willie won in ‘92 was because of Ross Perot splitting votes with Bush 41. Had Perot stayed out, there would have been no Clinton White House.

If Trump is polling better than Jeb in a 3 way race with Clinton, the GOP and Fox News ought to be destroying Jeb and forcing him out of the race, but they are not.
I haven’t seen a poll but id like to see one with this scenario.

No, he wouldn’t. But he’d get maybe 15% of the vote and three-quarters of that would be people who would otherwise have voted Republican. And Hillary would be president.

The GOPe has opted out of winning in 2016 by promoting Jebberish. We all know this. At least we have other viable candidates. Trump is not my first choice but I am loving what he brings to the race. Cruz is my pick for the distance and I think he benefits tremoundously from Trumps efforts.

There's no way I'll support the Jebster or an equally bad clone. The Republican Party as it is now has done us great harm with its majorities in the HOR and US Senate.

I think we all remember Perot and have researched Trumps previous positions. There were sound reasons he didn’t get support in previous elections but now he has a populist message that resonates. That doesn’t erase his previous positions and sooner or later people are going to start looking at those and weigh his merits as a candidate.
I appreciate what he’s bringing up for national debate, but I also remember I didn’t care for much of what his other stances on critical issues were. I guess we’ll find out soon enough if that’s changed and if he’s for real or not.

I'm not so sure he helps any conservative. While he sucks all the air out of the room by being loud the democrats are going full tilt ahead with all their favorite plans.
Less than 3 years ago trump said the republicans were being meanspirited toward illegals.
