A classic Clintonian response
I wonder if there has ever been a married couple in the history of mankind that has had to send its lawyers out to clarify their statements more times than the Clintons have. I said what? Thats been immediately exposed as a blatant lie? Fine, I meant something else.
The really interesting stat, if we could ever uncover it, would be how often theyve pull crap like this in their conversations with each other. You were where? With who? Then again, that assumes that either of them views it as a real marriage and not as an alliance of convenience for the sake of their respective political ambitions. I wouldnt lay odds there. But back to the matter at hand: When you say youve never had a subpoena - Ive of course being a contraction of I have, which means at no point right up to the present time - that clearly means never. Not then. Not now. Not ever. Thats what it means, and thats what the words were clearly meant to convey.
One problem: Trey Gowdy has a copy of the subpoena, and he immediately produced it. Busted? Not in Clintonworld. That just means you send out your laywer to do what lawyers do in Clintonworld:
Call her what she is....A LIAR!!!!
Subpoenas are meaningless unless enforced.
Vast right wing conspiracy. Depends what the meaning of "is" is. I did not have sex with that woman.
Liar, liar, pantsuit on fire!
Hey, Gowdy, get the message? Maybe is would save us money and time if you just disband the committee. Hillary and her band of criminals got you but good.
Boehner is the problem. Republicans made Boehner Speaker... again. Top to bottom, Republicans are the problem. They’re the JV team for the Democrats. If they play ball they rise, perhaps to the Speakership or beyond. The Uniparty must go.
While Gowdy’s task is far more limited than many FReepers believe, it is also true that a man who would put country above personal ambition would call out Boehner for appointing a fake committee and refuse to participate unless real conditions were met.
You have to listen really carefully, every time they speak, they will say the same thing in another sentence, but in a different form, therefore giving them deniability, and the Media are more than willing to parse the words.
I didn't say that, I said this. Well by golly, says the Media, you did and we can prove it. The Crowley's ObamaRomney debate is a perfect example of Media Prostitution on covering what they said they didn't say when they said what they did say they didn't say.
Oh what difference does it make now, that was so Last nightish, who's gonna remember, ghee can't we just get on with the peoples business?
It is much like listening to a Abbott & Costello skit, except each of the Clintons play both parts when speaking.
