Don't Give Money to People Who Hate You, Shop Small Business and Become Independent, Build Likeminded Communities, Focus on the family
Lately Ive been looking at Organic Opposition instead of Organizational Opposition. The latter is still important, but people are rightly disappointed and angry with everything from the GOP to assorted national groups and bewildered by a wide array of candidates.
Organic Opposition doesnt require organizations or a movement. Its about living in ways that naturally oppose the left.
Most of the people here already live in ways that the left resents without even thinking about it. Organic Opposition is about finding new ways to oppose the power of the left in your life.
This is not a complete checklist. Its a set of general ideas and people are welcome to add to them in the comments.

Bump because this is an excellent, productive article.
Canceling cable en masse would work wonders. I’m done with it myself on the 11th. 4 more days :-).
I understand that part of my internet bill will be used to keep some of the more filthy channels afloat, but if cord cutting could hit a critical mass, you’ll start to see some of the worthless channels die off.
I have an antenna for local garbage, but I doubt I’ll use it for anything if I’m honest. I can’t stand anything on the networks these days. It’s all the same, regurgitated crap for the most part.
For those of you worried about missing out on Fox News, be aware that the tier you pay for Fox also subsidized a list of garbage to long to mention. I, personally, can’t stand cable news, so its no loss for me.
Only thing I’ll miss is Pirates baseball. I used to prefer listening to games on the radio, but our broadcast team stinks (I wish Greg Brown would head back to Buffalo for Bills broadcasts ... he is the worst baseball broadcaster in the history of the game). I kind of got hooked watching them on TV as they became a better team recently, but I think I’ll survive. It’s just a game show. I am aware of MLB TV and various tricks I could use to watch local games BTW :-) ... I might do that down the stretch.
Also, buying stuff used is a great idea. No need to fund scumbags directly :-).

Excellent article! Stop giving money to people who hate you is a principal I have tried to implement. I will not buy an Apple product, nor will I ever set foot in a Starbucks. I won’t buy a GM or Chrysler product. I avoid TV except for the occasional sporting event and only go to a movie if it’s a solidly Christian film. I do not contribute to the public schools except for required taxes, and I have never given a dime to my alma mater (and don’t kid yourselves - every major university and most of the smaller colleges are pure leftist demonic breeding grounds, even many of the ones that purport to be church affiliated). Even if the school itself is “not that bad” it is part of the vast leftist money laundering scheme that takes our tax dollars and hires leftists with them, while our kids are stuck paying it back (leftists’ kids default and have the debt erased, again at our expense). Quit the alumni association and tell them why. Don’t buy the football merchandise. Don’t buy the license plate or the bumper sticker.
Wish I could give up supporting WalMart, but their grocery prices are so much lower that the local grocery stores that I just can’t afford not to shop there. I’m slowly weaning off, one product at a time (especially given my local store’s policy of stocking the shelves once a month whether they need it or not), but will likely never stop completely.
I bet you don’t miss anything but maybe sports. We quit so long ago, we’re not sure how long it’s been. Now, when we mean to watch something on MeTV or COZI, we invariably forget (ditto, the news- like that’s a loss). TV just not part of our lives.
We do miss MLB, though.

I highly recommend an occasional look at the Sultan Knish blog. It is a rich source of materials, links and more from one of the preeminent writers of our age.
FrontPage is, a basic resource for conservative thought.
Do you pay a monthly cable bill?
I have found Kroger’s prices are becoming as affordable as Walmart, also Aldi’s.
I got rid of my cable TV several years ago.
I agree with you on every point, and have been doing this for some time.
I don’t shop at walmart either. Aldi’s seems to be OK on the prices and i haven’t seen any overt leftism coming from there. If I DO, sigh, I guess i will have to grow my own food on my apartment balcony LOL.
Agree with most of what Daniel says, with the exception of only shopping with small businesses.
Out here in Californicator land and according to relatives and friends across America, most of the small business owners are left wingers, who support the local left wing governments.
Look at the CoC, how they support Obama’s immigration policies to get cheap labor and more customers.
For about a decade, in the late 70’s early 80’s, I belonged to a local service club. When I joined a large % of the club were school principals/superintendents and various city/county execs. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know their political allegiance.
When I joined, maybe 50% of the business owners were token Republicans. In about a decade, conservative republican members were down to a handful. Those guys were afraid to go against the local rat machine.
I cancelled my membership and discovered the other service clubs to be as bad or worse. Now those so called service clubs are rat lunch meetings.
Do you have an Aldi food store out there? Great prices and excellent store brands.
