(Excerpt) Read more at capitalresearch.org ...
Lengthy article detailing the nitty gritty of some of Walker’s victories over the unions in WI. Keep in mind that this article appeared ina Labor magazine and is written from an anti-Walker point of view.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
It’s from Capital Research and it isn’t an anti-Walker point of view.
But it certainly is the “nitty gritty!”
How about the cartoons on the first page? I’d call those “anti-Walker”. It certainly is a pro-labor post mortum of several recent elections.
I aam referring to the extension of the article at the link.
The pictures show the rabid protestors.
Read the piece. It’s excellent.
The punchline.
“...Today, Republicans seem to be looking for a candidate with political courage someone who wont give in when the Left comes after him or her with all the weapons in its arsenal, including domination of almost all the communications media, domination of academia, and the astonishing wealth of crony capitalists who benefit from Big Government spending and from special treatment for well-heeled special interests. GOP voters, it appears, are sick of Republican officeholders who act as if they are in a minority on issues even when the public agrees with them. They are tired of seeing their own leaders practice the art of pre-emptive surrender. They want a fighter.
In 1980, when the economy was broken and the world was falling into the hands of Americas enemies, Americans turned to a governor who had proven his mettle by standing his ground against vicious enemies and beating them.
Will history repeat itself?”
No matter what the article says, Walker WON and that is all ya need to hear. The union goons need to get over it.
It’s a FAVORABLE article on the history!
Definitely not a typical leftist position.
It ISN’T written by a Leftist.
Right. That was my point, in response to some of the other post further upthread. There was another really good quote near the end about the minimum wage destroying opportunities for low-wage folk.
Thanks. “Labor Watch” in the title confused some (me too until I started reading it).
