All over the country, people are still flaming over Donald Trump's controversial, pretty racist comments about Mexicans during his Presidential candidacy speech. The fallout from his remarks, in which he said Mexicans are drug dealers and rapists "bringing those problems to us," has been great: NBC and Univision canceled its telecast of the Miss USA pageant, which Trump partially owns; Macy's and Serta severed their ties with Trump's brand; and even NASCAR ended their sponsorship with The Donald.
But in D.C., where Trump is set to open his latest and greatest hotel, the backlash wasn't so much pointed at Donald directly, but at renown chef José Andrés, who is planning to open a restaurant inside the hotel.
Last week, a petition surfaced urging ThinkFoodGroup, Andrés' restaurant company, to "reconsider" opening a new restaurant in Trump's new luxury hotel at the Old Post Office. "We are proud to have José Andrés in Washington, D.C., which is why we hope he decides that Donald Trump is not someone he should do business with," Erick Sanchez, who started the petition, writes. "We are excited to dine at all of his other locations, but surely this planned Trump location could relocate elsewhere." And, in less than a week, more than 300 people have signed the petition, including employees of Andrés' numerous area restaurants.
"How could you not be concerned and raise certain questions about that [decision]?" an employee with Zaytinya who wished to remain anonymous tells DCist. He says that, though Trump's comments are "unfortunate timing" as plans to open a restaurant in the new hotel have been in the works for a while, nothing yet is set in stone and he, along with other employees, are hoping Andrés will do the right thing....

I doubt the people who signed the petition could ever afford to eat at his restaurants. They’re definitely more Taco Bell types.

I expect a lawsuit will give these protesters a sense of reality.
I wish he would find out which employees signed the petition or talked to the press and fire them for letting their politics threaten his livelihood. I’m sure they can be easily replaced by American citizens that would love to work any where.
All these people are going to look rather silly if Trump wins the White House—NBC News may well be banned from the White House. Trump can hold a grudge. If Latinos work hard to keep him out of the White House—and he wins. They will pay a big price for their loyalty to the Democratic Party. Imagine now—GOP Majority in both houses—Imagine now Trump in White House—Imagine the Wall with Mexico. Imagine the crack down on illegals. Imagine a new America—the scourge of ISIS. US B-52s flying close to Russian borders? We can dream—we can dream. Old Trump knows he’s getting Old—he has got to do something before he leaves this mortal coil.

It would be amusing if it were not so infuriating to observe the progression as the truth is being beaten and shaped with hammers of deceit. First, Trump was accused of defaming “immigrants”, and now we are up to his slander of all Mexicans.
I think that Trump/Cruz would be the perfect team.
An unbeatable team that could guide America for 16 years, and beyond.
No way is Trump going to bow out. Does anyone think that someone so focused on being a winner could even CONSIDER dropping out now, and go down in history as a LOSER?

The other funny thing about this is Jose Andres is from Spain not Mexico and as such would consider himself a European not a Latino.
