New information released by the Census Bureau shows that baby boomers are not the most populous generation for the first time in decades, and that white babies are outnumbered by minorities for the first time in the history of the census.
Millennials now form a quarter of the US population at approximately 83.1 million people, dethroning the baby boomers who number at 75 million, largely due to rising death numbers for baby boomers as the oldest members of this group approach 70 years of age.
By the Bureau’s definition, anyone who was born between 1946 and 1964 is considered a baby boomer, and anyone whose birthday falls between 1982 and the new millennium is – you guessed it – millennial.

What was the name of the people who were in the 40's during the 60's? That's probably what I was aiming at.

I dimly recall, from many, many years ago, that what’s now referred to as ‘Gen-X’ was originally called the ‘Baby Bust Generation’. Apparently there was a drop in birthrates after the Boomers; it’s measured from 1965 to 1984 (more or less).
I heard that in the late 80s, before the term ‘Generation X’ gained popular use.

Silent generation, 1925 to 1945, they were the young of the 1960s, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Jimmy Page, Joan Baez, Bill Alinsky and Bernadette Dohrn, Jane Fonda, The Chicago Seven, Janis Joplin, Bob Seeger, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Van Morrison, Jim Morrison John MCain, Rod Stewart, Yoko Ono, Peter Paul & Mary, and so on, just about everyone that a person thinks was a boomer during the 1960s, was not a boomer at all, they were the “silent generation” who entered 1960 ranging in age from 14 to 35 years old.
The silent generation were the 1960s, their little brothers and sisters could only watch.

Is this actual accounted census information or cooked up census estimate figures that they started including in the official census with the reign of Clinton?

I have heard that before too. Some think there never will be another Pubbie president in our lifetimes. Who knows for sure? I think a hundred years from now, this country will be totally unrecognizable. Twenty years from now, it will be unrecognizable. What the heck, let's not beat around the bush. Well, that didn’t take long. If I remember correctly Pat Buchannan once wrote that by 2050 the whites would be in the minority.
Guess Mr. Buchannan didn’t anticipate the government not only keeping the borders wide open, but actually providing transportation and bennies for the illegals to set up shop here.

Looks cooked to me......any more all census information will always be presented from which ever side of the great divide one is on. Slapping “Official” on it doesn’t make it so either.
