The autopsy has not been made public, and the deadline for releasing evidence in the case to defense lawyers is Friday. The beginning of the end for Mosby and Obama.

But was it racism?
Is there any evidence they habitually belted in white perps but let black suspects tumble around in the back of the van?

I said and still say the idiot ran and rammed his head into the back door. You can’t watch many Cops episodes without seeing this often.

We all have been in vehicles. You are not thrown about during a ride on a city street. I believe he tried to escape and ran into the van door and ended up killing himself.

Maybe Mosby can get a job working with Mike Nifong? Is there room for the sleaziest president ever there too?

This autopsy report should clear most of the officers charged in Grays death.
The only crime that would (or should) result in a conviction would be for negligent homicide (manslaughter), not murder, for failure to secure Gray to his seat after he was shackled. The only officer that should face this charge would be the van driver and any other officer who did not buckle up or secure Gray to his seat.
All others should be (and likely will be) cleared.

So a guy faking having a broken neck then committed suicide in the van by breaking his neck.
Yeah, whatever.

This was not premeditated. It may be something to sue Baltimore for not mandating seat belts but it’s not murder. It’s seatbelt negligence but not homicide and they are short a bunch of businesses now including the CVS.

So it was colorless police malfeasance, not racism.
I'm not defending either. The Media turned it into a racist thing and by doing so fomented riots.
Police brutality must be dealt with, yes, but let's stick to the fact of the case, the actions of the officers involved and the suspect, and not the media making it into something else entirely.
No justice can come out of distorting the events.
Who did what, who did wrong? Exactly. Nothing else.

Yes but this is old news.
We’ve moved on to evil confederate flags and white women who think they’re black.

If they did not follow police procedure then this would be handled administratively. It is not a crime to not follow police procedure.

They certainly can’t say they didn’t check on him during the ride. They stopped numerous times to put different restraints on him, and to return him to the seat, or place on the floor. It sounds like he was continually changing his position in the van, and that in itself contributed to his injuries.

"...all passengers, regardless of age and location, shall be restrained by seat belts or other authorized restraining devices."
From that statement, it gives two options to restrain a perp. One by seatbelt, and the other by whatever other restraining devices the department authorizes, which could be handcuffs, leg irons, either with short chain or long chain, both, etc. That second option is open to interpretation.

The confederate flag did it.
