The crazy corrupt corporation known as Newark Watershed Conservation Development Corporation (NWC) picks up about $10 MILLION a year from taxpayers to run a shadow government that allegedly funnels largess into the pockets of pals of US Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ). But true to form, New England media lefties zip their lips while pulling SEND off of their keyboards.
And did we expect anything else? Reformers like Jeff Tittel of the Sierra Club calls the NWC the Newark Watershed Development & Corruption Corp. Supposedly set up to run land holdings around northwest New Jersey reservoirs, Tittel says, the NWCDC was set up as a private fiefdom whose main purpose was to pave over watershed lands and make money for special interests.
How can the supposedly environmentally friendly media keep silent about the real agenda of NWC? Not to worry, nothing here, move on. A 44 page comptrollers report pointed out that Booker loyalist Linda Watkins-Brashear, an executive for the NWC, got to retire twice, she picked up TWO severance packages of $209,097 and $453,805. Bookers law partner Elnardo Webster served as Bookers campaign treasurer and was paid more than $1 MILLION in legal fees by NWC.
Although this sort of corruption is really hard to swallow, whats worse is the veritable code of silence by Eastern seaboard media types. STAR-LEDGER reporter Steve Strunski did make the effort in an article which told how top officials put together a sham rate hike that the governors of both states (NY & NJ) could agree to publicly denounce. Andrew Cuomo and Chris Christie become make believe heroes? Seems impossible, doesnt it!
NWC officials scheduled an important toll hike meeting at a time when commuters could not attend, but unionists supporting the toll hike could show up to pack the venue...

This article must be mistaken. These things don’t happen in N.J. I have lived here my whole life of 74 years and have never seen any corruption.
Why would the New England media be weighing in on New Jersey?
