Will the Supreme Court deliver one final, unconstitutional ObamaCare ruling?

Before the end of its current term (June 30th), the United States Supreme Court will determine whether the law of the land is established in the Constitution or by the various bureaucracies working to impose the agenda of the Obama Regime. IF the Court decides in favor of the Constitution, ObamaCare–the Affordable Care Act–will be destroyed financially. It will effectively cease to exist.

In November of last year, the Court agreed to hear King v Burwell, a suit filed against the Internal Revenue Service for usurping the power of Congress by granting itself the authority to spend $800 billion tax dollars over the next decade, money not legally allocated for Service use.

The IRS engaged in this extraordinary abuse of power in order to save the Affordable Care Act (ACA) from a financial disaster guaranteed by a failed gamble on the part of the law’s authors. According to the Galen Institute, the IRS scheme was one of 50 changes made to the ACA after it had been passed into law; “… at least 31 that the Obama Administration has made unilaterally.”

Will the Supreme Court adhere to the language of the Constitution—and the ACA itself—by finding the IRS power grab unconstitutional?

A number of the justices hardly distinguished themselves with their ObamaCare ruling of 2012. One expects decisions based purely on promotion of the leftist agenda from the 4 Marxist members of the Court. But the nominally conservative Chief Justice John Roberts ignored both the explicit language of the Act and the clear will of Congress in his decision to rewrite the ACA by transforming the specifically defined, individual mandate penalty into a tax. It was the tax manufactured by Justice Roberts which permitted him to find the ObamaCare individual mandate constitutional.

Incredibly, however, the tax which Roberts invented...

If they rule in favor of the Constitution, the entire system will spiral into chaos overnight. The Feds will be ready to save the day, with single payer. Watch.

I will believe it when I see it. I truly feel the court is bought and paid for either through funds or blackmail.

The GOP-E (Stupid Party) will step in with subsidies so that they can look “compassionate”.

I’ve heard that single payer is the goal, but it never was clear how we would (be forced) to get their.

You may well be right. We’ll find out soon enough.

The implementation of Obamacare was, for me, the day our country went into full USSR mode. It was my red line in the sand. I’ve gone as Galt as I need to, while making preparations to go pretty much full Galt.

If the court sides with Obamacare, it will only confirm what I already suspected. Frankly, I’d be shocked if they sided with the plaintiffs. If they do, we may not be as lost as my tag line suggests.

If they do, it’s not a sign they are stupid.

It is a sign that it truly IS a #uniparty. All doubt will be removed.

It’s well past time for mid-level military officers, county sheriffs and Constitutional militias to make clear they are willing to enforce the Constitution.

I'd say the odds are good. A Constitutional ruling would, as the article points out, make the "ACA" null & void overnight. Millions will lose coverage instantly, both because of subsidy loss or loss of government funded plans. If the GOP steps in right away with a plan to SAVE the ACA, they will have lost my vote, and many others, regardless of who they put up. I would also question the viability of the GOP offering up a subsidy plan, as I don't know that it can be implemented quickly enough to save the system. The answer? Well, single payer, of course. FedGov just takes over the healthcare industry. Insurance companies will, mostly, be destroyed overnight. Those that aren't become instant contractors for the FedGov, essentially making them federal employees.

Slogging along into inevitability does not seem to be the American way, but perhaps the concept of that nation once known as “the United States of America” is now only a footnote in history (which is written by the victors, by the way).

Just how would “single payer” work, anyway. If it is merely an expansion of the existing Medicare for seniors, expanded to everybody, how would it be funded? Seems an open-ended liability like that would crush whatever credibility in the “trust and good faith” of the Federal government that still exists.

There simply could not be enough tax revenues raised to make the system viable, let alone self-sustaining.

HA! And risk their jobs, mortgages, cars, toys, big screen TV's, baseball games and beer while watching said games?!?!?! Are you nuts? No WAY anyone is gonna risk that. Haven't you heard, we're more special than the Founders were. They were dumb enough to sacrifice everything. No way we will.

I am far more worried now than with their last Obamacare ruling. I cannot imagine an outcome that (1) is legitimate, and (2) the republican elite will not sabotage.

There are millions in America - soldiers, retired military, LEO, active & retired, that ALL took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic. Well, there has been a domestic terrorist in the White House for a full 6 years now, and not a one has done a thing about it. Why, all of a sudden, would they suddenly snap to and start living up to their oaths? They've not done so thus far.

Don’t underestimate them. I think they have time to issue at least two, and maybe THREE more unconstitutional ObamaCare rulings before his term is up.
