Remember the 15-year-old Pakistani girl who survived being shot in the head by the Taliban while riding the bus from school a few years ago? If you recall, her crime under Islamic Sharia law was that she dared to be a public advocate for educating girls.
Her name is Malala Yousafzai. Now 17, she is alive and doing well, despite renewed Islamic fatwas commanding followers of Mohammed to finish the job of assassinating her. And she continues her defiant activism, at the UN and on the global stage. A brave hero for human rights around the world, she has been awarded the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, among many other honors and recognition even prior to her being shot.
On the topic of heroes of the ongoing struggle for human rights: Despite what anyone else may say, Pamela Geller is Malala Yousefzai, and Pamela Geller is also Rosa Parks.
The only incidental difference among these three freedom-protest icons is relative to whatever public bus:
Rosa Parks sent a defiant message by refusing to budge from a seat at the front of a city bus.
Malala Yousafzai carried her defiant message by merely boarding any section of a school bus.
Pam Geller just wants to put her defiant message about basic human rights on the outside of a bus.
Yet, today’s ‘progressives,’ and unfortunately even some doofus dhimmis among conservatives, while they enthusiastically exalt Rosa Parks as a legendary hero and saint far above any critical scrutiny for her stubborn protest (which, incidentally, provoked violence and threats from the KKK types of that time), nonetheless throw Pam Geller under the bus for her mild demonstrations against Islamofascism — for “provoking” members of what liberals falsely claim is a peaceful culture, Islam, into committing their usual murderous acts of terrorism over some hand-sketched political cartoons.
The supposedly liberal and tolerant democrats who run metropolitan Washington, D.C. recently went to dubious lengths to stop Geller’s highly controversial “draw Mohammed” public service ads from appearing on city buses: Since they couldn’t come up with any legitimate legal reason why Geller’s group, The American Freedom Defense Initiative, shouldn’t be able to buy space for their particular message, they decided to announce an utterly bogus new ‘blanket’ policy, supposedly forbidding selling space on public transit for any political message.
The problem, however (and adding to the bureaucrats’ hypocrisy and injustice) is the fact that D.C. Metro buses do and will still carry carefully-crafted PR messages pushing various agendas, some more or less politically controversial than others. Of course, those ad campaigns are immune to the spurious new “moratorium” — because they’re always messages of the politically correct kind!
The parallels between Geller, Parks, and Yousafzai couldn’t be more perfectly exact. All three have faced extremely hateful reactions to their activism, and have been targeted for death by opponents. All are in the category of calculating political operatives (Yousafzai’s controversial political & media activism started when she was only 11 years old) — but that’s news to most, particularly where Rosa Parks is concerned, because so many have been taught all their lives that she was just some random, downtrodden commuter of color who just happened to be too tired from her work shift that day, and just too fed up with Jim Crow segregation to obey anymore; to get up and move to the back of the bus as ordered.
The truth is that Parks was a key player in what was a highly organized, funded, and planned protest stunt, orchestrated well in advance behind the scenes, by the shrewd NAACP strategists of the burgeoning civil rights movement who sought to capitalize on previous bus protests, and on much political and legal groundwork having to do with desegregating the public bus system.
The exact same thing can be said of Geller; she’s a cunning field marshal for civil rights in the identical mold of Rosa Parks and even Martin Luther King. Such a statement is, of course, scoffed at by her detractors, who denigrate her instead as just a self-serving, bigoted, hate-mongering opportunist from the fever swamps of the far right wing.
But the fundamental human rights of freedom of speech and expression are included in the category of civil rights, no matter what color, sex, or religion you are. Geller’s calculated free-speech demonstrations and public advertisements are in courageous, heroic, and resolute defiance of the enforcement of strict Islamic anti-blasphemy laws; totalitarian dictates which the politically correct dhimmis of the American media and officialdom are, disgustingly, appearing all too eager to help install and enforce here in the West.
I say Geller’s critics are blind to the simple fact that we all have a duty to do what Geller does: To deliberately and boldly defy such vicious, theocratic terror threats and suppression.
Critics of Geller, when you firmly back them into the corner they’ve constructed for themselves, usually wind up having to admit that Geller doeshave the absolute right to hold “draw Mohammed” cartoon contests, and to take public stances which Muslims deem offensive to their ideology.
In that same breath, however, her critics try the tactic of pointing out that “just because someone has the right to do something, doesn’t mean they ought to do it.”
Notice that those same ‘tolerant’ critics of Pam Geller never say likewise about Malala Yousafzai and Rosa Parks? When Parks made her demonstration, the sensational uproar provoked death threats and widespread violence from militant segregationists. Yet progressives and moderates never say, “well just because she could sit wherever she wanted to sit, doesn’t mean she should have.”
Furthermore, you’ll never hear them argue that just because Malala Yousafzai had the inalienable human right to spread public messages advocating education for girls, didn’t justify her doing it, and thereby consciously offending and provoking violence from the Taliban due to their religious ‘sensitivities’!
First Amendment champions can quickly remind critics of Pamela Geller that our basic freedoms are always in jeopardy of being diminished and extinguished by power-mad thugs — unless brave people make bold and sometimes extravagant demonstrations of it, brashly enough and often enough to really push back against the inevitable attempts at encroachment/suppression by those who would censor and forcibly silence what they don’t like, through terror or any other means.
To the point: We must figuratively poke Muslims in the eye with sharp graphics and rhetorical sticks, over and over and over again, unless and until the dreamed-of day comes when adherents to Islam just learn to react to disobedience and mocking as tolerantly and peacefully as Christianity has. There is simply no reason for their to be any other standard, especially in the West. Too many have already fought and died over this bedrock principle.
If Muslims refuse to learn, and instead continue to reply with their murderous attacks, then they must continue to be shot to death by vigilant American patriots in every case.
Al-Jazeera.net recently published the results of one of their newest polls, in which 80% of Muslims responding indicated that they support ISIS.
Get on the bus, everybody. But first help pull Pam Geller out from under it, where she’s been thrown. She deserves not only the keys, but also all the advertising space, plus plenty of patriots riding shotgun who are down for the struggle.
Oh, and the next time you hear someone ask, “Why does anyone really need to own an AR-15??,” the best reply is to yell at them, “Did Rosa Parks really need to sit in the front of the bus??”

My dad was a bus driver for 15 years for Greyhound from about 1935-1950. It’s why he didn’t go to war. He drove between Springfield MO and Tulsa OK for part of that time and Jim Crow was in full flower. He did not enforce it. The fact that he did not threatened his employment. He got complaints. But he stuck to his belief that the black passengers paid the same as white passengers and could sit wherever they pleased. He later, as the manager of the Houston Bus Terminal, forced it’s integration before the Civil Rights Act. He did lose his job or at least was told he had to transfer out of the south.
Nonsense. She got death threats for years.
I'm not sure Pam Geller would appreciate being lumped in with a Muslim.
Pamela is not anti-Muslim, she is against sharia and jihad.
I’m sure she’d be more than happy to be likened to Malala Yousafzai.
I think she's pretty much anti-islam altogether. I mean she called islam the most genocidal, anti-semitic ideology going. She's accused Obama of being a Muslim I don't know how many times. I'd say she's against the whole ball of wax and not just sharia and jihad.
