When I was a kid, “passing” for white was a goal of many mixed race folks. Who could blame them? There was genuine racism in abundance then.
Now we have an individual who is half white, 3/8 Arab and 1/8 black “passing” as a negro to bluff his way to power. Things sure have changed.
The late great Lena Horne could have easily passed for white until she spoke or sang in that wonderful `Black Velvet’ voice of hers.
