Bill and Hillary Clinton appeared together at a Memorial Day parade in their adoptive hometown on Monday, their first joint appearance since the unveiling of her 2016 Democratic presidential campaign more than six weeks ago.
The Clintons snapped photos with attendees and marched behind veterans at the parade in Chappaqua, N.Y., but avoided talk about the former secretary of State's White House bid.
"This is a way of demonstrating that they are not forgotten, and we are going to continue to do everything that we can to make sure that we honor their sacrifice and commitment," Hillary Clinton told a small group of reporters.
Bill Clinton has signaled he may take on an active role for his wife's campaign, though since her April 12 video announcement has so far focused primarily on the Clinton Foundation, including a nine-day visit to Africa.
Hillary Clinton stepped down from the board of their namesake philanthropic organization hours after announcing her presidential bid. The foundation has been roiled since February by scrutiny over its foreign donations.
The former president is considered a campaigning asset, though his chief of staff said earlier this month he was not directly involved in her campaign. Bill Clinton joked he would move back into the White House "if I'm asked."

Glad to see the old draft dodger himself out and about on Memorial Day adding another insult to the American people, along with his lovely wife, the former worst Secretary of State in the past decade. Pathetic.

I wonder how long the negotiations between their publicists went to make this happen. Did she have a “no holding hands” clause in the agreement? Did he require her to permit him to continue making $500,000 speeches and keep the money for his extra curricular activities?
