The knife bills were being bottled up by Senator Whitmire, (D) Houston, until word about them started being circulated about the gun culture. I think it was a combination of the phone calls, and the references to Freddy Grey and the Baltimore knife law that brought him on board.

These should go through, now, but it isn't over until the Governor signs them.

How absurd and ironic that the meaningless death of a ghetto druggie may result in the repeal of a weapons ban that’s been in place since the Reconstruction.

How equally absurd that a single Democrat anti-freedom Marxist in Houston can obstruct what should be a natural right of self-defence for the entire State of Texas.

I think I need a trip to the shooting range to restore my faith in humanity. (And to get used to the .380 purchased yesterday.)
