1.) Progressive Ideology ‘Dehumanizes The Population’
Anthony Daniels, who uses the pen name, Theodore Dalrymple, says the West is “too weak-willed,” “accepts obvious untruths” and “treats people as objects.” In a 28-minute video interview with The Daily Caller, he says “the intellectual dishonesty of the West is the greatest threat – we can’t say what we really think.”
Dalrymple, based on his work in British prisons, is a critic of “determinism” — the dominant progressive theory that minimizes personal responsibility and portrays people as forced, by their circumstances, to behave as they do. This theory, Dalrymple says, “dehumanizes the population.”
Asked why westerners join ISIS, he says he has been astounded by the “large number of people who enjoy cruelty,” but that he pins the reason on an idealistic “search for meaning and significance in a world [these recruits] don’t feel there is much meaning or significance.”
My Opinion: Progressivism is just another word for socialism, a desensitizing concept that has brought pain and suffering to millions. People become subjects, wards of the state, treated like Social Security numbers or cattle they do the state’s bidding. Individual liberty represents a danger to those in power and must therefore be replaced by subservience, for the “greater good” of the society. The meaning in life can be found in the Bible, where the difference between right and wrong is clearly illustrated. In its text are lessons which have guided men for millennia. No wonder progressives are trying to destroy religious belief. The only thing they believe in is big government and Christianity and Judaism expose its evils.
