All those hair chemicals are not good for people. The hair extensions lead to pain and baldness and are super expensive.

It is a serious stress to live one’s life trying to undo what nature has put in place to such extremes. God did not make a mistake when he made humans with natural curly hair. I never heard anyone say that natural curly hair is “unprofessional.” As with all sorts of hair, done up right, it’s beautiful.

When I had cancer, I went bald during treatment. I had a black friend who always “fixed” her hair. One day she wanted to come visit me when I was sick and she came in minus her wig...totally bald like me. That was sweet of her. My husband decided we were beauties on the inside and the lack of hair actually made that more apparent. He’s a Romeo.

My students wore cornrows. Some were so tight, kids were uncomfortable. heyT would add beads which the kids said were torture on which to sleep. I’m not sure what the fam’s protocol was to wash the hair with cornrows..but I do recall seeing lots of lice. It was epidemic.

I’m so delighted that you are doing OK and that you have a *Romeo* to share your recovery with and watch your 6! God Bless you and keep you!
