In Praise of Pam Geller
American Digest ^ | 5/8/2015 | Gerard Vanderluen

Posted on 05/08/2015 10:08:02 AM PDT by mojito

...Geller is a person who, in the wake of 9/11, found her life changed, changed utterly, and who has followed the cause of resistance to terrorism without fear or favor since that time.

...Many say that Garland was just some sort of bizarre attention-getting device for Geller, but that is not true. It is a device for calling attention to the fact that many do not believe their own ardent proclamations of 1st Amendment when the hammer comes down.

Just now on Fox News, playing in the background, a panel was discussing Geller some pundit declared: Quote "I am a first ammendment absolutist and there is no "but" after that, but...." Endquote

None of these pundits has, between them, five percent of the courage that Geller has displayed. Nor will they have her courage. Ever. Islam has cowed them all; cowed them into their cowardly appeasement signaled by their "Yes, but".

In sharp contrast, Geller has effectively put her life in jeopardy now and for decades to come. For the rest of her life she will never again be able to move without guards and care for her security. She has sacrificed the freedom found in anonymity for the 1st Amendment that enables so many of those who criticize her to make their living and live their life. She has not made herself a target for Islamic vermin out of a thirst for personal publicity. Nobody sane does that and Geller is more than sane. She has done this because she believes that it is evil to kill people for making drawings. She believes this with no "Buts" attached. Geller has more balls than all of the "Yes But Brigade" combined.

Yes, the left are utter cowards and scumbags - that's to be expected. Their diversity celebrating is the lie they tell themselves to excuse their cowardice and self-loathing.

But to see smears against Pam Geller coming from the Beltway Boys of the right, well, it just confirms a lot of things. The Beltway Boys love many things, but liberty is not one of them.

And doesn’t she resemble Sarah Palin? Are these 2 women the only ones left in this country with any balls? I’ve noticed that the U.S. clergy, U.S. politicians, and many U.S. citizens have neutered themselves out of fear of a religion that worships a pedophile madman.

Pamela Geller: American Hero. I look forward to her receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Amen, although I wouldn't hold your breath re: your second sentence.

Met Pam Geller in person at CPAC a few years ago. She and Robert Spencer had a small break-out session about creeping radical Islam throughout the world. Showed some excellent videos, that I've never seen anywhere else. Fascinating stuff. She struck me as a very brave woman.

My husband and I and FRiends also attended Pam's very raucous rally in NYC (in 2010 or so) protesting the Cordoba mosque that was to be built near Ground Zero (last I heard that mosque was never built). Several hundred, maybe a few thousand were in attendence. It was hard to count the attendees, as we were in a very 'narrow' part of Manhattan.

The keynote speaker was Geert Wilders, who, like Pam, has a big target on his head from the Islamo-Nazis. All rally attendees and speakers were jeered at and spit upon. The leftists, 9/11 Truthers, pre-Occupy Wall Street types were "appalled" at our "lack of tolerance" in opposing the Cordoba Victory Mosque. They looked at us as if we were members of the KKK.

It was sickening, especially as it was less than 10 years after the 9/11/01 attack, and we were literally in what would have been the shadow of the WTC twin towers.

Geller and Wilders: Both very brave and committed people...

I have nothing but the highest praise for Geller and Wilders for not backing down from criticizing Islamofascism and all the useful idiots who are Islamic apologists.

Don’t count on Pam Geller receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom from THIS Current Occupant of the White Hut.

The alert has been put out for the bearded men with the burning eyes. If they only had the same fervor for going after a the apostles of gay marriage in this country....

The Eternally Offended have so many targets to go after in that territory once known as “the United States of America”, it must create a severe logistical problem for them. How do they focus their resources?

FoxNews relinquished their “fair and balanced” reporting this week.

Martha McCallum a couple of morning ago had 3 commentators on to attack Geller. McCallum had none, except a video of Geller herself, to defend Geller.

The next morning, McCallum continued to attacks on Geller.

It could be that FoxNews was getting pressure — a Saudi prince is still a significant stockholder in News Corp, the parent company of FoxNews.

==

It causes one to wonder where the newsies and critics are willing to draw the line:

Mohammad cartoons

What about same-sex marriage?

What about Christians?

What about infidels?

What about Jewish people?

All of those offend Islamists.

To their captives: Convert or be beheaded. Convert and be beheaded.

Yes, Geller and Spencer and anyone who appears with them are very brave. Thank God they are willing to put everything on the line to expose the moslemnazis.

Thank you for posting your story.

Hope all is well with you, FRiend. It’s been a long, long time.
