Baltimore Is The "Heroin Capital of America"...

I see nothing Obama says as having any significance to the situation in Baltimore as he'll play it however he thinks "at the moment" will benefit himself.

Baltimore as a more than serious drug trade, and gang related activity....as long as they flourish...and the city officials activily promote Baltimore as 'immigrant friendly', in order to increase the population that's leaving....then it's continued path will be like Detroit. All this is about getting revenue flowing into Baltimore to stop that.

That is incorrect. The only arguable way the knife was illegal was under the Baltimore City code. It is clearly not illegal under Maryland law. The City ordinance is vague, and may never have been challenged in court; that does not mean that the knife was illegal under it; though that may well be how police in Baltimore have used it for a while. We do not know what the common usage of this ordinance in Baltimore has been, and if prosecutors have been supporting its use as the police did in this case, that would certainly be a mitigating factor in the police’ favor.

I have not seen any verification that they were warrants out for Freddy Grey’s arrest. None were mentioned in the reports by the arresting officers, which would be a very strange omission, if that is what they arrested him for.

FR is the very best site for ferreting out the truth on any given issue. When FReepers get hold of an issue it is dissected with a rigorous pursuit of the truth.
I have tried to follow this issue carefully here on FR. All of the points I made were mere regurgitation of work done by my fellow FReepers. I expect Dershowitz is doing the same.
There is no other site or resource that has so consistently gotten to the truth of every single matter raised by this debacle in Baltimore.
