I agree with you that those involved in this movement are likely to go into areas outside of the base cities where they have support. They'll deliberately provoke situations that the police have to respond to in order to protect people from harm and stop the destruction of property. Then they'll do stuff to provoke a reaction and scream "police brutality" and bring their marches to places that believe all lives matter.

Anyone, where ever they live would be a fool not to have a near-full tank of gas, plenty of supplies, and access to cash if technology breaks down.

Some of it's already started, with the attitude being tried outside the cities.
