Just an hour after UMN President Eric Kaler delivered his annual State of the University address, Minneapolis activists, led by Students for a Democratic Society members, delivered their own address. Dubbed a "People's State of the University Address", the address centered on the struggle of students, staff, and faculty, including inflated administrations, the need for a diversified campus, tuition hikes, and greater difficulties for workers. This was in contrast the the address delivered by Eric Kaler which was little more than a PR stunt for the university.

who needs SDS when we have Obama?
Obama implemented in colleges
FOR SURE! He is the current reincarnation of SDS....
i remember when the SDS types went on a rampage and broke a bunch of big epensive plate glass windows and did additional damage on campus.
when i got to ask one of them why, since the windows had no direct connect to anything they were screaming about anyway, he just recited the old (Robespierre) line about having to break a few eggs if you want to make an omelet.
They did not make any omelets, however. They just broke a bunch of windows.
Just the latest batch of Commies and Commie sympathizers. Meet the new SDS same as the old one.
tuition hikes
seriously???
Good God, the “struggle” has been going on for about 60 years. You’d think they’d get tired of struggling after so long, take a bath, cut their hair, jettison their anger, get educated and land a high paying job. How much longer is “the struggle” going to last?
SDS=Commie!!!
Yup. They are. May God damn them.
I saw this all play out as the campuses changed from those built, attended, and supported by citizen-soldiers who went through and returned from the great conflicts, turned into commie centers by their children, and indoctrinated by their grandchildren, all within three or four generations.
From these we get the Kennedys; then the Clintons, Gores, and Kerrys; then the Obamas and "Occupiers." You'd better watch out for what is coming. The outlook is not hopeful, in the immediate sense.
It is agonizing for me to rehearse the memories of going to and from industry to the campuses, back and forth, from 1950 til now, and seeing them being corrupted by the Communist and Humanist Manifestos.
I pray that God will send His Son The Messiah to uproot and destroy this mess of human depravity, and institute His Kingdom of Righteousness and Peace.
Clinton is a traitor as is Kerry.. Gore is a Who**.
I share your pain. I went to a small state college in the 60s. We thought all these people in the “counter culture” were pathetic, demented, and totally lacking in common sense.
It was not until much later that I realized who they really were and what they really were up to. They were not stupid though, they learned that the American people at that time did not appreciate their antics and violence.
So they cleaned up, and like the wolf in sheep’s clothes began to infiltrate the Government they purported to despise. The radicals of the 60s and 70s are now in charge, either directly or indirectly.
A pox be upon them. God help us all.
