“Righteous exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14:34
Unrighteous makes people stupid. It does it by tricking you into thinking that your fallen nature is capable of rational thought and your motives are pure. Satan makes sure that there is always real cheese in the mouse trap. “Come to me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye will find rest for your souls.” - Jesus

The Soviet Union and the Peoples Republic of China crushed Communism more decisively than Goldwater could have ever dreamed of.
...
A few years before Reagan was elected. Kissinger was telling everyone that Communism had won.
Communism and totalitarian governments are an evil that keep springing up. It’s a form of government that appeals to murderous sociopaths like Castro and their mushy headed liberal sychophants. They must be fought and defeated.

Western thinking has become conservative: the world situation should stay
as it is at any cost; there should be no changes. ....
The communist regime in the East could stand and grow due to the enthusiastic support
from an enormous number of Western intellectuals who felt a kinship and refused to see
communism's crimes. And when they no longer could do so, they tried to justify them. In
our Eastern countries, communism has suffered a complete ideological defeat; it is zero
and less than zero. But Western intellectuals still look at it with interest and with
empathy, and this is precisely what makes it so immensely difficult for the West to
withstand the East.

The article contains a fallacy of omission. It is this: the battle between left and right is horribly asymmetrical. The obamacare non-repeal is case in point. The right fought national healthcare tooth and nail, again and again, and won, on the whole, until obamacare was rammed up our asses in the dead of night.
The point is, conservatism has to win over and over again. Marxism only has to win once.
The other aspect of the fallacy is that, even when seemingly defeated, marxism simply shape-shifts into different guises and insinuates itself into power by ingratiating itself politically. Alinsky was the guru of this procedure. We are currently witnessing the results.
So, even if we seem to win by dint of marxism’s failures, we ALWAYS fail to drive the stake into its heart. Conservatism, by its very Judeo-Christian nature, is compassionate and forgiving.
Marxism has no such compunctions.

A successful leftist revolution quickly becomes indistinguishable from an ordinary oligarchy. Millions may die, but decades later all thats left is a vast pointless bureaucracy that runs on family connections, an ideology no one understands anymore and an impoverished population ripe for outside exploitation. Sounds like what has happened to this country's present and future.
The only difference was we started out wealthy instead of poor when we embraced the leftist revolution.
We're more like the clueless, Che t-shirt wearing rich kids who inherit great wealth and then party hearty.

True the left like any parasite eventually does die of it’s own accord - but only after it kills the host.
Unless the host develops an immune system to effectively fight the left, there is little consolation in knowing that the it kills itself.

Republicans, who were elected to stop Obama, are complicit in his destruction of the nation.
There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between Republicans and Democrats anymore.

American admirers eager to get to Havana claim to be worried that Starbucks will ruin their Socialist paradise. What really worries them is that American businesses might give Cuban teens an economic alternative to sexually servicing decrepit leftists from Berkeley for $10 a night in the revolutionary version of Thailand where everyone is free, especially the political prisoners and raped children.Greenfield knows his progressive 'professor' types...
