That’s totally stupid ... saying there should be a $50 an hour minimum wage. I mean even those who want to drastically raise the minimum wage know that $50 an hour is stupid!

Raising the min wage also stagnates people into a false sense of holding that job
because it pays well. Instead of taking the low wage and looking for something better.

Many employers will train for higher paying jobs if the candidate/applicant has a
solid work history longer than 2-years, and not necessarily with one company either.
As work history goes along they'll find employers looking for longer work histories
with Four years, and Five years, and some even ten years. It's earned.

Giving away the company "Just because" isn't good enough and American business'
will not fall for it. Although some are saying so for political benefit.

Yeah, because every privileged sucker who owns a business can afford to pay $50 an hour. Share the love.

At 13, I got $2.75/hr (plus tip) in 1962-3 as a dbl-caddy at a posh NW Suburbs CC in Chicago, and $2.50/hr (plus tips) as a busboy in the evenings, at summer jobs. I worked a LOT of hours and made some pretty darned good money. $50/hr will cause more problems than most people know.

Okay, so let’s go with that - then people who make 50 dollars an hour now will want $100 an hour. Or $200. And so on. How does that solve the “problem”? Dummies. If you want to make more money, work hard and learn something and GET A BETTER JOB! How is it that idiot libs can’t comprehend simple logic? I did time at MacDonald’s when I was young. I didn’t want to do it forever. I wanted to do something else. So I did what was necessary so as not to work at a fast food joint for 30 years!!

Some countries in Europe have minimal wage close to this figure. Guess how much the burger cost there?

Do it. Go $50/hr. Then watch hyperinflation take hold. $50/hr will be the new $5/hr in real buying power.

Some people don’t understand the basic principle at work.

The day that a burger joint has to pay anywhere near $50/hr for burger flippers and cashiers and what not, is the day that you won’t be able to get a job flipping burgers without a college degree in burger flipping.

The real minimum wage is $0.00.

Too bad the libs can't understand that.

There are too many in this country who have no clue how the economy works.

Hell yeah!

I am a professional FaceBook surfer.

I really am very good at it.

Anything I find interesting, I can fully investigate in just an hour of sitting on my ass and typing on my keyboard.

Until now, I couldn’t support my family of five by surfing the Internet.

If I could pull in $50 per hour by doing my favorite thing (i.e. nothing) it would be great!!!

100K per year is what, I am sure you will agree, I am entitled to!

Why not $500 an hour then?

Because then bread would go up to $400/loaf instead of just $40 -- $400 would be just ridiculous......

Why not $500 an hour then?

Why no raise it commensurate with the money supply, also similarly mandate COLA's. Keep printing, keep raising. Make all this nonsense a zero sum game and end the theft of wealth from working Americans.

Well, $50 means everyone else sees a 5x increase in their wages. Cool. Means my mortgage is now 5x less than it is today.

Kidding aside, governments need inflation badly. It is the only way they can get out od debt. Of course, like most people and credit cards, they’ll continue to spend into debt no matter what happens.
