Let’s support the candidate we want, but when the GOP selects one to march into Mordor, we need to go too—all of us.

This argument evokes a running battle that has raged at FR since Bush '43: Do we support the GOP candidate regardless of virtue or do we force the party to nominate a conservative? Boils down to Purists vs. Rino's.

With all due respect to the author who is, no doubt, well meaning I will not support a McCain\Romney\Bush\Christie type because history has clearly shown they do more harm to the cause than any supposed good since they destroy us from the inside where it's immensely more difficult to fight their liberal policies.
