Walker: Hillary Does Well Only When People 'Feel Sympathetic
Weekly Standard ^ | April 15, 2015 | Michael Warren

Posted on 04/15/2015 8:24:09 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

".....Back in 1999, Walker was a 31-year-old state assemblyman, while Clinton was preparing to run for the U.S. Senate in New York as a Democrat. In January of that year, the future Badger State governor called into Bob and Brian, a popular morning radio talk show based in Milwaukee and heard throughout the state.

Among Walker's comments about the state and national political news was his assessment of Clinton's political assets and liabilities.

"Her poll numbers do very, very well when she’s not talking about much and when, quite frankly, when people feel a bit sympathetic for her having to be married to Bill," Walker said. "But when she talks about policy, for example when she talked about health care a few years back, her numbers take a major dive."...

Well, sure, the uninformed sheeple feel “sympathetic” for her. They also “believe” that she is “on their sides” in the struggles of life, whatever that might mean. These sheeple will be our perpetual downfall.

Certainly I was never sympathetic. However, if you go back to the 1990s and tell me that people were sympathetic to poor little Hillary, I guess I’d have to recognize the fact.

But it’s 2015 now.
She is not a sympathetic figure. She just isn’t.

Hillary may become the first person to plead the Fifth Amendment during a presidential debate.

I have a theory that Hillary’s gal pals got Monica out of hiding and are working to set her up at “The View” or somewhere (she gave a Ted talk about bullying), so that Hillary’s husband (who taught the nation’s children about oral sex) and her rise up the power/money ladder wouldn’t make Monica look sympathetic by comparison.

Now it looks like power to the women over the lecherous men mime.

It will be interesting to see her in a debate.

What will she do?

What will she do?

Cackle?

Take offense?

Plead womanhood?

Plead the Fifth?

Drink the fifth?

It will be something to see.

Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, has these moments when popularity and admiration were on the surge, so long as she is not talking, but once Herself starts to set the stage for whatever agenda she has in mind, the BS meters all jump to the peg, and people are questioning in the back of their minds, what is this person talking about? Does she REALLY mean that?

Herself will be talking about extending and building on the legacy of both Bill Clinton, and more importantly, the Current Occupant. Bill Clinton was torn between thumbing his nose at the conservative faction, and goosing stray females that crossed his path, but at least, he could be persuaded (sometimes) to get in line to do the right thing.

The Current Occupant is absolutely doctrinaire about the sanctity of HIS legacy, and part of the deal for Herself to step aside in 2008 was the preservation of that legacy. This would not be Bill Clinton’s third term, it would be the third term for the Current Occupant, and that may well prove to be nearly irreversible in its effects.

You are spot-on correct. It would not be a 3rd Bill Clinton term, it would be Hillary's scorched Earth term(s).

Yes... well, if Walker is correct, that would explain why Hillary is made to look small, alone, rather feeble, but through sheer grit seen crawling through the glass for our sake.

This should conjure up sympathy for her, right?

She truly does remind me of Ted Kennedy when asked why he wanted to be president. He gave a blank stare. Hillary uncomfortably diverts her eyes and utters drivel that is wholly passionless, about being a “champion” for someone.

A champion, is not the first thing anyone thinks of at the name of Hillary, unless connected with a 10 year old campaign grind. A losing champion for Marx.

I was thinking about this earlier.

What if no one is running against her because the Dems KNOW there is know way that they can hold the WH this cycle?

I go on their sites and read their pieces (wade through all the stories and OpEds attacking conservatives, Christians, white men and our candidates, in order to find what is bothering them). They talk about how state legislatures and governors’ seats are going Repub. - how local governments are swinging to Repubs. - how they have no one on the bench, no one being groomed for office at the local and state levels to draw from for Federal elections. They see the numbers and believe they will be in the minority for decades.

They fear that a lot of what Obama has done will be repealed or weakened.

I think they’ve already given up. And if they have, think of what their electorate plans to do on election day - those that they can’t force to the polls? They will stay home.

There will be many more “incidents” like the “gay wedding pizza caper” and “Ferguson” and college “rapes.” “Incidents” for the state media to glom onto so Hillary will have something to campaign on.

In my bones I agree. I can not see how she waddles through another campaign without her heroin mantle in tact, and that thing is history, since the 2008 coronation campaign that wasn’t. Heck, everyone notices that she is not even all that coherent now days.

To your point, and after 8 years of Marx in the White House, who else can be allowed to seriously run against her. It’s her “turn”, and anyway a very bad 8 years for anyone else to run against.

Dems are trapped by Hillary on one side and they can not reject Obama outright on the other side. Therefore, they can’t really compete with the Republican field on issues of escape from socialism.

I don’t see how she wins. It seems now that she’s going to presume delegates from states Obama won, and simply apply herself to the toss up states. She is the image of, “phoning it in”.

They’ve dug their hole deep.

Hillary will finish them off.

It seem terribly appropriate.
