The Left, which repeatedly has called conservatives racist, has shown its true colors with Marco Rubio's announcement that he is running for President.
Liberals on social media were incensed that a minority would possibly run for office as a Republican. Hundreds went on racist tirades against Senator Rubio, letting him know that, as a Cuban man, he's not doing what liberals expect or want.
Here is a small taste of the vitriol:

They have so many stale excuses for their outrageous behavior.
Only the pie-eyed true believers or utterly ignorant believe them anymore.
Two lessons learned again. The radical left, which is a large % of the opposition (at least 15-20% of the voters) have absolutely no clue. Just vitreol. Rubio joined the left on the only issue that matters to the La Raza crowd. Still, he’s attacked as an enemy of Latinos.
Secondly, a lesson to our side. Why sell out to the left on an issue? You get nothing for it. Rubio ruined his reputation with a large portion of his biggest fans...and for what? This response.
Can’t say I’m surprised at the hate being generated by the Left.
If hatred were energy, we could shut down all the power plants in the US.
Civility is only for Republicans ... Democrats, not so much.
They probably wouldn’t be so hateful if they were sure Hillary were a shoe-in.
We already know that the left are nasty, foul-mouthed, intolerant bigots.

Yep, so we see Marco Rubio is not really Latino. I’ve heard the same said of Ted Cruz. And Clarence Thomas is not really black. Sarah Palin is not really a woman.
It gets absurd. In the fantasy world inhabited by the liberals, you are only an authentic minority or member of an approved grievance group if you are liberal.
Thus, by definition in their fantasy world, there cannot be conservative women, conservative blacks, conservative Latinos, conservative Asians, conservative homosexuals, etc. It violates their frame of reference.
It upsets their preconceived notions that these groups are discriminated against, and thus need liberal/Democrats in elective office to “fight discrimination” and “help” members of said grievance groups.
Why does this ever surprise anyone? The Democrats have always — always — been the Party of Racial Hatred.
Laughable considering the fact that Rubio is about as different from what idiot gringo’s call “hispanics” to some Mexican Toltec from Zacatecas swimming across the Rio Grande. One is Hispanic...the other isn’t even close.
That said, this broken record continues to play out that the left believes if you have a certain percentage of melanin in your skin you MUST vote and THINK a certain way or you are a “traitor”.
Oh...and only lefty’s can spout racist words since they use it in “their context”.
Cubans are the “Jews” of the Caribbean, that’s why they are sometimes referred to as “Jewbans.”
The left sees racists everywhere except in the mirror.
The Democrats voted three times to remove the word “God” from their party platform, so yeah, progressivism is ultimately a spiritual problem.
It’s not surprising that they act like they’re possessed.
At least they’re not haters, though.
Let me guess - they are hated for the same reasons that Jews are by outside groups.
They prosper because of their value system and culture,
and instead of adopting that culture,
outside groups choose to try to destroy them.
