When did the word “Negotiate” become the New Synonym for “Surrender”?

Who could accept the idea that our President, as the smartest guy ever elected to anything, might make such an idiotic decision and risk the very existence of his own nation to the whims of irrational religious zealots?

Being too old to have enjoyed the benefits of being educated using what is euphemistically referred to as “Common Core”, some of us might not be aware that in addition to seismic alterations in performing simple mathematical calculations (such as figuring out how much change to give someone when they try to pay for a burger with a twenty dollar bill), we might not be cognizant that the actual language of our country has also been changed.

Fortunately the recent meetings held in Lausanne, Switzerland to discuss the possession of fissionable materials by the Islamic Republic of Iran offered us a great instructive moment. As children we misunderstood the actual meaning of the word “negotiate” and operated throughout our childhoods thinking that the word meant there was a certain amount of give and take in an attempt to ease a difference of goals or opinions.

Thanks to our President, Barack Hussein Obama, I am embarrassed that I now have to say “Silly me!”

Well as far as the US is concerned, the election of 0bama. A thousand years will pass and still we’d have that stigma.

Everything about B. Hussein Obama was kept hidden from the public. According to Nancy Pelosi’s way of governing we had to elect him as present so we could find out about him. Well we did and now the Republic is in serious danger. He has laid the groundwork for it’s destruction. In his mind it’s job well done.

Exactly. And I cringe every time I hear him compared to Neville Chamberlain.

Chamberlain actually loved his country and thought he was doing the right thing at Munich. It took him less than one year to wake up, smell the coffee and declare war on Hitler. When France fell the following spring, he had the decency to step aside and make way for Winston Churchill because he understood his country needed someone with the competence to run the war.

The only time he opened his pie hole after that time to make a public statement was to support Churchill and the war effort. Name me a single high profile Democrat in public office today who is even capable of exhibiting similar character. And, no, an obscure congressman from Minnesota doesn't count.

I was watching a show about the final days of the 3rd reich last night.

Hermann Göring seems to have behaved with the same delusional thinking as Obama. He really believed that he could present himself to the Americans and negotiate himself into power over Germany. He even expected to meet privately with the president.

When did the word “Negotiate” become the New Synonym for “Surrender”?

Since Neville Chamberlin's "Peace in our Time."

Negotiate has been a synonym for surrender with the GOP for ages.

Spending = Investment
Perjury = Testimony
Voluntary = Coerced
Marketplace = Government Monopoly
Fair = Targeted/Punitive
Community = Lobbyist Group
Workers = Dole Recipients

It’s tricky keeping up with Newspeak as the lexicon expands every hour but it’s still a necessity.

Obama is giving the Iranians diplomatic cover so that they have more time to build their bombs.
