How dare Indiana Governor Pence listen to normal people rather than to the left

What’s really going on with the media’s hit job on the Hoosier state? When I retired from my tenured teaching career at a suburban Illinois college just across the border from Indiana, I was hired as a news correspondent for a large daily newspaper, located at the time in Gary, IN. I was hired, I later found out, because a very leftist editor had so alienated readers with his attacks on Republicans, especially in and around Crown Point, that readership figures had plummeted and changes had to be made at all levels. This editorialist took after the beloved mayor of Crown Point and the citizens responded by dragging an oil drum in front of the newspaper office, stuffing it with newspapers and setting it on fire.

I sat in the Mayor’s lovely home and talked with him and his wife for well over an hour. The pain of how hurt they were welled up into tears at one point. As I recall the details, this beloved elected official was a veteran, truly a kind, caring man who even took into their home needy citizens down on their luck. The couple looked at me and asked why they were being targeted like they were by this leftist journo, why was the newspaper “after” them like that? I listened, told their story, and moved on to cover the greatest scoops of my life. I learned so much chasing pole barn fires over icy roads in the middle of the night, telling about the plight of a wild deer trapped out in the middle of an icy lake, about the horrific ice hut tragedy, the cheerleader’s terrible crash, and on and on. For you see, I was chided by the other reporters because...

Why do you vote for the person you vote for?

Why does a Democrat vote for the person he/she votes for?

For the sake of argument, let’s say that each Democrat voter only gets one vote. That vote then becomes a precious commodity. Each person only gets one. You get to “spend” only one vote. How does that Democrat voter decide who to “spend” that one vote on?

Will they spend that one vote for somebody who wants to stop all fishing? Will they spend that one vote on somebody who wants abortion on demand? Will they spend that one vote on a politician who advocates gun control? Will they spend that one vote on a person who wants everyone to be Moslem? Will they spend that one vote on somebody who wants homosexual marriage? Will they spend that one vote on somebody who wants everybody in America on a turnip commune?

They only get one vote. What do you think they will spend that vote on?

I think they’ll spend that vote on themselves.

I think the Democrat leaders understand that.

They distract the Republicans with all this gun control and homosexual and abortion and environmental stuff, and really, it’s all about looting the public treasuries for the Democrats.

Mike Pence is a dead man walking—He just doesn’t know it yet.

Yes, and the opposite is true also - they loot the public treasury to push their social agenda. Its exactly the reason I believe that if we changed our present financial system, rebacked the US Dollar with gold, eliminated the Federal Reserve, the Left/Progressive state would necessarily die.

In the end, or should I say his end, Pence listened to the Left over the People.

Funny how the RINOS keep telling us to avoid the “social” issues, but it’s where the left is carrying on their war to capture the nation and where’s our side? Out to lunch, afraid of their own shadow, and capitulating to the lefty idiots every time.

“...In the end, or should I say his end, Pence listened to the Left over the People...”

He’s not an idiot. He’s got to have advisors, people whose counsel and opinions he trusts. So I have to think he fully realizes that he caved in to a vocal minority over his own constituents.

Had he stood up to them and told them to get lost, he would have appeared pretty much heroic for standing up for Indiana. Now, he’s a squish that can be easily bullied.

So why did he do it? That’s what baffles me.

Pence can kiss any talk of running for POTUS goodbye. Every conservative talkie was busy defending it and his decision then he vacilates to the godless sodomites who’ve declared war on Christianity. Proves he’s no crusader for conservativism.

I’m tired of vacilation to the godless sodomites and their god denying democrat (in name only) party supporters who’ve through the guileful use of “political correctness” have declared war particularly on Christianity as well most religions.
We need crusaders for conservativism not capitulators.

Basketball twits like Barkley should have gotten portrayed as a mindless political correctness dribbler totally ignorant of what that law is about. Foaming at the mouth with anti Christian/ religion drivel which is a disguised war on religion that’s using the device of “political correctness” Which once firmly emplanted we all do the goose step to.

Walmart could have been dealt with by pointing out that their pharmacists could not refuse to dole out birth control pills because of their beliefs. And the guy from Apple told to take the bite out of Sharia law.

The marriage of Christ to the church, like the marriage of one man to one woman, vilified by two governors in their actions.

In a way, they have betrayed us, Pence and Hutchison.

It sounds like Pence got ordered by some businesses like Angie’s List to cave to the LGBT rights crowd and he fell in line with them fast.

So who is his friend now?
