Obama is NOT a pacifist.

He happily assassinated Gaddafi, turned Libya into a failed state. He didn’t mind seeing Egypt on the brink of civil war and genocide with his promotion of the Muslim Brotherhood. At bare minimum, he allowed and approved the change of government in Ukraine that was a direct stab at Russia’s multi-century interests in Crimea and the Black Sea.

He had no problem provoking opponents, or stirring the sh** in those places. So he is no pacifist interested in calming the waters of world politics.

So the question is then - what exactly is his goal with Iran?

No one said much about Neville Chamberlain’s name in 1937...other than a week or two in the news...it became a page two thing. He actually stood around until spring of 1940 before UK forces had to leave Norway and confidence was lost. Even when he was replaced....he still remained around for another six months in Parliament before passing away from cancer.

The negativity of his action? This didn’t really catch on until the late 1950s with various books and summaries written over his action. TV time-pieces from the late 1960s in the US harped over his legendary act, and that’s probably the point where Chamberlain was regarded as a joke (thirty-years after the fact).

The comparisons between Obama and Chamberlain are unfair to Chamberlain. Neville Chamberlain was a decent man who was deluded into thinking Hitler would keep the promises he made at Munich. Six months later he was disabused of that delusion when Hitler invaded the remainder of Czechoslovakia. Winston Churchill has kind words for Chamberlain’s actions after that point in his history of WWII. Chamberlain would have been like Obama only if he had been hoping for the spread of Nazism and its ultimate victory.

Good article but author missed the Sunni’s Shiite split. Israel will form a coalition with the Arab Muslims to stop the Persian Muslims. Obama and Hillary got their buts kicked out of Egypt and soon the entire middle east. Oh they can always vacation in the Persian glass parking lot.
