The “Greatest Invisible Depression”

How will we cope when the American economy crashes? What or who will replace the American Empire?

“There is no America! There is a cash machine.”—Michael Savage

We are experiencing the “Greatest Invisible Depression” in the history of the United States; the Depression Era soup kitchens and lines are unseen, coming to the mail box in the form of welfare checks, yet the government cash machine, the Fed, keeps printing bogus trillions that have no backing in goods and services.

The welfare checks keep coming but the unemployment figures reported have dropped to 5.5 percent! According to economists, 5-6 percent unemployment represents FULL employment of the economy. Yet millions of discouraged workers have conveniently disappeared from the government statistics. They are now perhaps found in three categories: disability recipients, the invisible Americans struggling on their own to survive, or the generational government-dependent Americans.

Pretty amazing that the federal government (most employees are democrats) and the liberal media can cover up this economy. They can only do it for so long.

My guess is the democratic leaders wouldn’t mind a republican getting elected next time because they know that, sooner or later, the damn is going to break. They would love for it to happen under a republican so they can eternally blame republicans.

You are making the presumption that the current two-party system will survive a collapse. Personally, I’m not sure the Constitution will be reborn, but I do think the death toll will be in the millions...

You know they’ll try to take control. I am not so sure it would last very long.

The two party system is nothing special to me. And the founders didn’t hold it high regard either.

Having only two is handy for Democrats. They can be told "We are good, they are bad..." and vote the straight ticket with a minimum of thought.

Imagine if there were variations, or subtle colorations! Your average "Progressive" will pee his pants in a two-holer, while trying to decide which hole to use.

This has been going on since about 1973 and both parties have worked to cover it up; but the cover is becoming very frayed and thin. You can’t even say “the middle class isn’t has well off as it was”, because the middle class hardly exists anymore.
