Obama Surrenders! Iran Wins!

Iran’s foreign minister Javad Zarif, chief negotiator in nuclear talks with Obama’s State Department, declared victory stating that no matter how the negotiations end, Tehran has come out “the winner.” He feels confident because the simple fact of having carried out nuclear negotiations with the United States has elevated the Republic to a position of global power broker.

In a desperate effort to reach a deal with the Iranians, an interim agreement was adopted which would at once allow Iran to retain its ability to enrich uranium while permitting the Republic to stockpile that same weapons grade uranium it had just enriched! It is a deal which abandoned both United Nations Security Council resolutions and Western demands that Iran halt all uranium-enrichment activities. It is also an agreement which allows the Islamic Republic to develop nuclear weapons at its own pace, recognizes Iran’s right to develop nuclear weapons and does absolutely nothing to halt or discourage either. In the words of America’s former U.N. Secretary John Bolton “This is abject surrender by the United States.”

An attempt to prevent the surrender

After all, Cotton wasn’t shy about revealing his attempts to undermine the Obama Administration’s negotiations with Iran; in fact his letter was intended to derail any deal Obama might be foolish enough to make with Iranian terrorists. In any event, an accord between Iran and the United States would expire when Obama leaves office, Cotton told the Islamist regime.

King Obama has given them the bomb. Time is very short now and they will have success.

Bad as Obama is, anyone with any sense of the situation in Iraq should have known that removing Saddam would lead to a civil war between the Sunnis and the Shia. Yeah, Saddam was a thug, but so is everyone else over there, and he at least kept the radical Muslims in line and kept Iran in check. Everything the US did in Iraq was a colossal mistake from the get go. You can thank Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, etc. for the massive blunder in thinking they could remake the Middle East.

As usual, politicians make stupid decisions and the soldiers and Marines pay the price.

Obama’s notion of negotiation is ...

“You can have anything you want,
but that’s my final offer.”

Saddam tried to kill Bush’s daddy.
That’s what got us into Iraq eventually.

*sigh* I’m afraid you could be right. Wolfowitz and all the others who said it would be a cakewalk and sweetness and light would bloom in the Middle East afterwards should be ashamed to show their faces in public.

It makes me furious when our good people are sacrificed because politicians are arrogant fools.

And what about the Air Force ? If we had not removed Saddam we would still be enforcing the no fly zone in Iraq. For 15 years now. And Saddam even had the gall to attack the Kurds with a major land force under the no fly zone. He boosted about that in one of the classified documents temporarily available on the web.

If we had not removed Saddam

Here's what should have happened. I outlined many of these steps here in September-December 2001.

When OBL was confirmed to be in Tora Bora, 4 W-88 warheads should have incinerated him and his crew. The next day, Bush should have flown to Baghdad, as he and Saddam would have become besties. On his way home, he should have stopped in New Delhi to discuss matters of mutual interest.

One month later, a joint American-Iraqi Expeditionary force would have invaded "Saudi" Arabia, eliminated the al-Sauds, occupied Yemen, and then swung East into Persia.

At the same time, a Joint US-Indian Expeditionary force would be advancing on Islamabad and Karachi, before entering Afghanistan from the East.

Our forces would meet up abut six months later in Herat, with both main enemies destroyed.

Obama was raised to hate America. Every action he takes is aimed at weakening us. Insuring that Iran gets the bomb is just another one of those actions in a long string of destructive acts on his part.

Agree with nuking OBL, but Iran would have invaded Iraq if Saddam sent his forces south into Saudi Arabia. What should have been done is what is being done the hard way. Split Iraq into three nations. Kurdish, Shiite and Sunni. Unfortunately the big spokesman for doing that back then was Joe Biden. No one took it seriously. The one time in his entire life that he was correct

Barack Obama is selling Israel down the river. He is forcing them to accept a country which has vowed to eliminate them having a nuclear weapon.
