Stop the inhumane treatment of disabled homeless Veterans in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES - Americas capital for homeless Veterans is not only in a state-of-emergency to house and care for thousands upon thousands of war-injured and impoverished Veterans, but its also in a state-of-emergency for trusting and caring VA leadership to end this crisisNOWnot months and months, or quite possibly, years from now.
A small child could tell you that the homeless Veteran problem in Los Angeles is beyond state of emergency status. In comparison, downtown Skid Row makes the most poverty-ravaged communities of Third World countries seem safe and beautiful. Whats going on in Los Angeles is disgraceful beyond comparison or comprehension.
Moreover, lethargic dont-care VA bureaucrats and listless politicians continue to deny theres a crisis here as they slumber along year-after-year parroting their feeble promise of we will end Veteran homelessness by the end of the year while Veteran homeless continues to escalate.

Sorry, Vets. That $$ is needed to pay for entitlements and tax benefits to illegals who have sacrificed Jack Squat for this country.
I bet the illegals in Los Angeles are not being allowed to be homeless or without health care. (I realize the VA is not “local”.) just sayin’...
Not speaking of vets but of Skid Row. I know a man who ran the L.A. Mission for decades. I heard him say “the men on skid row are there because they want to be.” He said they’re acclimated to that lifestyle and will not leave it. Take one off and within a year he’ll be back.” Those were his exact words.
Now for vets. Every vet, if needed, should be given a choice of several jobs for one year after discharge that’s paid for by the government. It would be considered the last year of his or her enlistment. If they do a good job chances are their employer will keep them or they can move on to another company. If they piss it off they’re on their own.
