Those who insist it is a mandatory rule of politics that we must “always work within the GOP” don’t understand that their rule is only a slogan with no rationality to back it up. It’s like the old communist agitprop that one must never doubt the wisdom of the party.

The allure of RNC, RNCC, GOP and GOP-e funding, as well organizational support is difficult to overcome, once a representative is seated.

Those organizations, as well the power of leadership within the respective country clubs are really carrot & stick motivators to behave as told, even to the point of violating one’s original objective to run for the office and a subsumed concience.

“You will toe the line, influence your colleagues and vote as we see fit. The consequences of your failure will be severe and devastating.

You will not be appointed to any committee.

You will not receive any help from us in the form of monies, which you will need to hold your seat.

Finally, just to make a point, we will run a candidate against you and are even willing to lose your seat, so everyone else will understand the consequences.

Now, **Do Your Job**”.

The only way to break what essentially becomes an implied or overt contract is to send people who will act without equivocation and stand by their pledge, which was the basis for their approval and ascencion through the vote of the people.

Unfortunately, we haven’t any way to divine their true commitment nor a certainty of their fealty.

It’s a crap shoot really and while we do our best, so too does the opposition part of the Democrats and our damned friends or Frienemies within.

To wit; Marco Rubio, Eric Cantor and many others.

Just have to keep doing our best to send representatives to the various gubmint institutions designed to carry out oir expressed will.

We as voters must be resolute and make unmistakably clear “We will support your replacement if you waiver”.

And so it continues...
