The Right to Say No

States are caving into homosexual demands and asking their residents to abandon the reality that marriage is intended solely for a man and a woman

Something very unpleasant is occurring in America. Those who have a strong religious faith are being denied the right to say “no” based on its teachings and values. This is particularly true these days as homosexuals, barely three percent of the population, demand that they be accommodated when their demand runs counter to thousands of years of what has been deemed moral behavior and, for many, still is.

When it comes to marriage. Gays insist they have a “right” to get married and call their union “marriage”, but there is absolutely nothing in the thousands of years of the Judeo-Christian ethic that defines same-sex unions as either moral or legal.

The most recent and egregious example of what can happen when someone obeys God rather than the state is Arlene’s Flowers, a small floral shop in Richland, Washington. Its owner, Barronelle Stuzman, declined to make flower arrangements for a gay couple’s wedding and, instead of finding a shop that would, they took their grievance to court. A judge ruled Ms. Stutzman violated the state’s anti-discrimination and consumer protection laws.

“We Reserve The Right To Refuse Service To Anyone.” Not anymore you don’t. You’ll serve whoever we tell you to and like it.

Especially, or even exclusively, if your refusal is based on Christian values.

To paraphrase: “Christian values? You don’t need no steenkin’ Christian values.”

The ones of us who believe in traditional marriage are,I think,in the great majority. Don’t we have at least the same amount of say in the matter as those who claim to believe otherwise? I think the whole issue could have basically been sidestepped if governing authorities had kept their noses out of it entirely.

We don’t allow gay marriage here in GA so I’m sure the DOJ will be coming after us soon. Alabama is caving in.

At the root of the leftist ideology is an antipathy to Christianity.

At the root of the leftist ideology is an antipathy to Christianity and Western civilization and values, and an embrace of collectivism in opposition to individual freedom.

The basis of Western Civ and of the concepts of individual freedom IS Christianity, and further back, Judaism.

I just sum it up this way: Why on earth should a small minority of people who reject the historical social norm of marriage be permitted to define it for the rest of us? It is insanity writ large.

There is a simple solution:

Because gay “marriage” is being forced on our Christian republic mainly through the illegal and unconstitutional action of Democrat judges, we should all just ignore the court orders. We need to get the sheriffs in our counties to pledge to not enforce the illegal court orders and, in fact, to arrest anyone who tries to.

State laws duly passed by the electorates and/or the legislatures should be the priority for local law enforcement. The illegal actions of black-robed numskulls (who have no authority to force local officials to violate the U.S. Constitution) need to be ignored.

There are many supporters of counterfeit marriage. Just look at any of the fake marriages and you will see the places are full of supporters. If folks would start ignoring the freaks maybe they will go back into their holes.
