This week Capitol Hill Republicans face two showdowns with President Obama and the Democrats that will either make or break their standing with grassroots limited government constitutional conservative voters defunding Obamas unconstitutional executive amnesty and the confirmation vote on Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch.
It is hard to decide which is the most important, and in some sense they are inextricably linked.
The Attorney General is one of the most important Cabinet offices, presiding as it does over everything from voting rights, to civil rights to immigration judges, and with Eric Holder in charge it has been the leading edge of Obamas abuse of power.
Loretta Lynch testified she supported Holders actions and expected to continue them, and even implied that she was prepared to expand some of them. This prompted us to publish an article expanding the point Senator Jeff Sessions did during Lynchs confirmation hearing GOP Should Not Confirm An Attorney General Worse Than Eric Holder.
Sessions asked who had the right to work in the United States, and Ms. Lynchs unambiguous declaration was that the right and the obligation to work is one thats shared by everyone in this country regardless of how they came here. And certainly, if someone is here, regardless of status, I would prefer that they would be participating in the workplace than not participating in the workplace.

As long as they pay union dues.
I am most certain that the “grassroots” will not be happy.
This Congress spends most of their time on recess. I guess they might as well, they have no courage or guts to deal with Obama.
But they want your vote, ya know.
I find it unbelievable that Congress can,t address more than one issue at a time.
Cave week.
When they deliver up the same thing they’ve been delivering, will everyone stop asking this question? Will the last holdouts stop wondering when the GOP will do something conservative?
The EXEMPT GOP will reproducibly and systematically
deliver .... for Obama.
And THAT is why they are the traitorous,
self-serving, EXEMPT Give.Obama.Power. (G.O.P.) Party.
To understand the GOP and what they’re doing you have to come to 3 realizations.
1 they like what’s happening
2 they’re making it happen
3 they keep getting away with it because we keep voting for them.
I think there is little chance McConnell will hold the line on the DHS funding bill. It seem to be DC dogma that Republicans will get “blamed” for a shutdown but there is little evidence anyone outside of DC cares. Truth be told, neither party can afford for the people to discover we can get along just fine without them.
As for Lynch, I would expect here to get somewhere in the 65-70 vote range and be confirmed.
I’m fully expecting to be disappointed (ie “Status-Quo”), but I’m hopeful that I will be shocked, surprised, floored and gobsmacked that they actually grow a spine and do the right thing for once.
Rather than calling these “GIRLY MEN” in the republican party “REPUBLICANS”, let’s call them the “WASHINGTON MANILA FOLDERS”, cause they’ll fold at the first sign of any “FACE TO FACE” confrontation with OBAMA. All of a sudden, every one will notice the “FOR SALE” signs on their backs. Can’t have that.
Will congress continue to reinforce the fact they are obama’s biotch...
Forcing the Constitutional choice between the Ballot or the bullet, our Congress chooses sides, America, or The New World Order.
Bump to call
