I've lived in Wisconsin my whole 65 years. I guarantee you there are many more guns here than there are people. Both Republicans and Democrats here love guns. But outside of Milwaukee the homicide rate is minuscule.

If the mere prominence of firearms caused people to go around shooting other people willy-nilly, then the homicide rate here would look like that of a war zone. But it's a fraction of the big cities. Why is that? Because we're civilized, that's why.

Yes, Milwaukee has 10% of the population and 60% of the homicides. I believe the 1 CCW homicide was from Milwaukee, or at least the metroplex.

Take away the Milwaukee Homicides and Wisconsin’s homicide rate is about 1.24, a low rate for Europe.
