“The Koran is interpreted by some” to promote the violence. Translations from Saudi Arabia do that. I have one. Translations from Turkey have it that way. These were translated by noted Islamic Publishing houses.

From the Qur’an:
Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them (2:191)
Make war on the infidels living in your neighboorhood (9:123)
When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them (9:5)
