This is the George W. strategy in 2000, and it worked. It won’t work this time around because we have a MUCH better roster of candidates, and because he Internet provides an efficent way to reach large numbers of small donors.
Jebbie seems to be a more eager candidate than GWB was in 1999.
Cruz is tech savvy which helps a lot.
“This is the George W. strategy in 2000, and it worked.”
Bingo. I remember how Jorge tried to push everyone else out, both by fundraising and the steady drumbeat that everyone should clear the field for him because he was the one who could win.
As it was, Jorge lost the popular vote and beat a candidate made out of wood by the skin of his teeth.
I don’t care if he amasses all the money in Christendom. I wont vote for him. This is an absolute, and I do not care who he is running against.
“and because he Internet provides an efficent way to reach large numbers of small donors.”
Yep. These establishment dimwits, of both parties, haven’t figured out that they no longer control the narrative and a way to broadcast it.
Recall that McConnell increased the amount of donations from rich donors significanly in the recent budget bill.
If/When it passes, they will not need the general little people for funding. All they will need the little people for is votes — and they are rpobably secretly trying to find ways to eventually get around public voting.
