“At his whistle-stop rallies, Truman spoke out on behalf of civil rights legislation, for repeal of the Taft-Hartley Act and in support of farm aid programs. By trumpeting these issues, the president helped to revive the old New Deal coalition of Southern blacks, labor unionists and farmers.

In November, 1948, the electorate responded to Truman’s appeals and provided him with one of the greatest political comeback victories in U.S. history.”

Too bad it tells the facts of the black vote, which is what was in question. Not the black vote by state. So you guys just keep playing games in the promoting of myths and inaccuracies.

Well the South had a little bit to do with relevant statistics. But hey, if that gets in the way of you accusing others of fraud while you leave it out, then of course it's of no importance. Whatever works, champ.

"Quit while you are behind. The argument is over."

Yes, it is. I'm still waiting on that apology for your disgusting conduct, madam.

I addressed some of that in post #43.

I love the way you are on the Civil War threads bemoaning the Evil South for slavery and at the same time on the MLK thread trashing the civil rights for Blacks movement. Its a little schizoid don’t ya think? I don’t know how you keep it straight. LOL!

What in the blue fudge are you talking about, lady ? You obviously have me confused with someone else, because I rarely post in those Civil War threads you reference (and if I do, I lambaste both sides, since neither had true moral superiority when it came to Black issues). You are also outright lying about claims I "trash the Civil Rights movement." I set straight bogus claims, as you put out, repeating the falsehood of MLK as a Republican. I actually take the time to recount point-by-point FACTS, for which you don't show the common courtesy to read or acknowledge for absolute fear you might be incorrect (your "Lester Maddox was Mayor of Atlanta") or in over your head.

What's your end game here, madam ? To show how ridiculous and vicious your behavior can get and lie about others in the process ? I think you owe us all an apology here for your appalling and boorish conduct and for the LIES you have alleged of me.

Yes, it is a fraud and a lie that blacks were voting republican, were republican, and that MLK was a republican in that era.

No matter how weird or hostile you want to get about learning the facts.

No matter how weird or hostile you want to get about learning the facts.

The only weird and hostile thing going on is your insistence on making personal, depraved attacks against anyone who disagrees with you. I think you actually believe anyone who has a different opinion is literally perverted, and that you have no actual opinions - you're just some sort of walking, talking truth that gets annoyed when people don't bow fast enough.

Life's hard enough with having to deal with yet another bloated ego. Try to rein it in and just stick to your opinions. If the fact that someone is going to disagree with you somewhere down the line triggers some sort of spastic rage in you, then either stop posting, or get a prescription for something that calms your nerves.

There is a difference between someone having an opinion, and someone lying.

Blacks abandoned the GOP in 1936, and MLK was not a republican.

You long and elaborate personal attacks, are not a replacement for truth.

And your parsing, dancing, and belligerence are merely tedious. The Democrat Party back then was nothing like it is now. And Blacks were openly experiencing direct, physical violence for being black. And MLK taught them non-violent resistence to overwhelming hatred. Why you would want to spin that, and hide it under the shifting sands of political affiliations literally across multiple decades and even try to equate pre-war and post-war politics, is your little secret. But apparently it's something shameful enough that you need to constantly stab with personal attacks in order to keep people from enquiring to closely. That's your "truth."

You are a pretty weird guy, the only one spinning anything is you.

My posts are straightforward, Blacks became democrat voters in 1936, and MLK was not a republican.

"The Democrat Party back then was nothing like it is now."
