Ed Miliband launches Labour’s election campaign on Monday by calling on supporters to knock on four million doors.

The party leader will vow to fight the Tories and Lib Dems “house by house, street by street and town by town” until polling day on May 7.

In a rallying call in Manchester, he will say: “Today is day one of our general election campaign. This is nothing less than a once in a generation fight about who our country works for.”

Vowing not to be intimidated by the big-spending Tories, he will add: “We will offer hope, not falsehood. We know the depths of our values matter more than the depth of our opponents’ pockets.

“We’ll win this election, not by buying up thousands of poster sites, but by having millions of conversations.”

He will say voters have a the choice between a party that will put working people first and a Tory government that will destroy the NHS and act only for the privileged few.

Seizing on the Conservatives’ latest campaign poster, which features a long empty road, he will say: “What is their plan for the next five years? Keep driving along the Road to Nowhere.”(continued)

If we could replicate this in a few of the early primary & caucus states we could put a conservative over the top easily.

My own thinking would be to ensure that early primary states are conservative rather than liberal.

I watch Prime Minister's Question Time pretty regularly.Listening to (and watching) Milliband, the guy who wants to become Prime Minister, reminds me of the kids who the bullies used to beat the tar out of at school. He makes Obama look absolutely Schwatzenager-like by comparison.
