And after that warning and for much longer than 35 years, we've had our civil war and a couple of world wars, a second civil war here in the 1960s, the rise of marxist communism and the various wars to stop it, the failure to stop it resulting in the fall of morality to immorality, the rise of islam, etc.
And, if you believe it or not, Mother Mary has not stopped appearing and giving us warnings and we keep ignoring them.

Indeed, we've been expecting such signs and wonders because Jesus predicted them:
Matthew 24:24-25 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (25) Behold, I have told you before.Mary is highly revered in Islam as well, perhaps more so than Jesus, not to mention the New Agers, who regard her as the Christian face of their earth goddess. Pretty interesting that such a huge chuck of the world's population is ready to accept those apparitions without ever questioning their true source. One could even suspect that with such a following the stage would be set for peace in our time:
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. (3) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.On second thought, you can keep the apparitions. Jesus is enough for me.
